Barbie Irish Shamrock Dress
Barbie Irish Shamrock dress-perfect for St. Patrick's Day
Whether she's going to the local Irish festival or just out to a movie with Ken, Barbie's Irish Shamrock dress will make her feel dressy yet casual at the same time. Nikki was chosen to model this because she wanted to show you how I can make this dress fit your smaller bodied Barbie. She is one of Barbie's Fashion Fever friends. Or you can also have me make it for your older classic bodied doll.
It features a two-tier skirt in a petite shamrock print. The puff sleeves are probably going to end up off the shoulders but it's still very cute. It closes in back with Velcro. The two hems feature a serged rolled hem. The print I am currently using is pictured. It's a white print with tiny green shamrocks on it--the fabric has a sparkle to it.
NOTE: I can keep the sleeves up on the shoulders on my doll, but it's possible that on a different doll, it may end up being an off-shoulder dress. If an off-shoulder dress bothers you, this probably isn't the right dress for your doll. You may prefer the Barbie Puff Sleeve Gown done in a shamrock print.
St. Patrick's Day isn't the only day for wearing shamrocks. Even though the 4-H symbol is a four leaf clover and this dress is a shamrock print, it looks close enough that I had customers at our fair in the summer comment that it would work out for a 4-H dress as well.
For the fancier side of celebrating St. Paddy's Day, why not check out the Barbie Irish Lassie Gown. However I don't think these are the right Barbie doll clothes for a pub crawl--for that try the Barbie Jeans set.
I have a good supply of this fabric on hand. As with any of my Barbie clothes, to be sure of receiving your Barbie Shamrock dress for St. Patrick's day, please order at least 3 weeks ahead of time.
