Barbie Strapless Gown-Sparkly overskirt and a satin gown

Barbie loves wearing this strapless gown especially because no matter what color you order, you are going to get a gown with a sparkly overskirt.
A small bow accents the waist. Trims and trim color can vary due to availability. I always try and match the bow or rosette at the waist to the tulle or whatever type of overskirt fabric I have or it will match the sparkles.
The bodice for a strapless gown is very fitted and a little tight so this Barbie strapless gown would work best on the larger bodied or "classic" Barbies as I like to call them. I always test fit gowns, especially strapless ones. Some get a trim at the bodice but this one seemed to call for more elegance as you might find in a bridesmaid gown, so I chose to put the trim at the waist. When I do fit this to a newer body, it is necessary to sort of wrap it around your doll. Don't worry, I always test fit all Barbie clothes with strapless bodices.

Or you may prefer to put together a wedding using the Barbie Strapless as a bridesmaid gown. The traditional Barbie Wedding Gown-Lace Train would make this a nice gift set. This gown can be ordered with the Wedding Option meaning it would be made from white satin and you will get a small flower bouquet and a veil.
One color choice is in black satin. The tulle itself is black with tiny sparkles, very similar to the navy sparkly tulle. It looks very elegant and I have a small trim at the waist.
If you happen to have a new, smaller chested newer Barbie, please be sure to let me know so that I can make a small adjustment in the gown's bodice. Just tell me in the shopping cart if you have a classic build or a newer Barbie and I will make it fit your doll! Classic build = 5 1/2 inches at the fullest part of the bustline; newer bodies measure 4 1/2 inches. Most of the orders I receive now are for the newer bodies. There is a pull-down in the shopping cart now so it's not possible to leave the cart unless you tell me something in the pull-down. No need to type me a message unless you want to.
I am always on the lookout for glittery tulle so that I can have even more satin and tulle combinations for you to choose from.
The newest color combo I have is a dark (Barbie) pink which is now pictured above. For anyone who is a repeat customer, you may remember the old faithful navy tulle gown. That navy tulle is gone now but I have left navy as a choice because I was able to find a navy sparkly overskirt. It just happens to not be tulle but I think you'll be pleased with it. I'm anxious to make the first gown using the new navy overskirt fabric, why not be the first to order one? Then I'll be able to get a picture of it.

- Select white satin from the pull down menu
- Check the box next to wedding option.
If white is selected but the box is not checked, you will receive only the white strapless gown with overskirt.
