Barbie's summer dress is a cute retro sixties style in a cool seasonal print.

Here's a cute Barbie summer dress in a retro sixties style made from a cool and crisp daisy print on pink. Midge is all excited about the retro party her friend Barbie is having at her house this summer. Everyone is coming dressed like girls would dress in the 50s or 60s for a summer gathering. Barbie has already told her she would be wearing a retro sundress in a calico print.

So Midge chose this pink print with the cheerful daisies. Your doll will need her own shoes as my doll's shoes are for modeling purposes only. This summer Barbie dress has a scoop neck, cap sleeves and a fully-lined bodice. The skirt is rather full, reminiscent of the sixties styles. It closes in back with velcro. This dress is styled to fit the classic build Barbie or Barbie friend such as Midge dolls. The newer Barbies may be a little too small in the chest area to look right in this dress.

I have enough of this white daisy print to make quite a few of these Barbie summer retro dresses but I do plan to add some other color or print choices. If you have another preference just let me know and I'll see if I have that color in my fabric stash. Or you could always send me your own fabric that you have chosen. Maybe you have a favorite dress or top you used to wear that you'd like to have a Barbie dress made from. It would be a way of remembering that favorite outfit without having to store the entire thing. There are lots of other uses for Barbie dresses besides dressing a Barbie doll!
