Big Brother Ken-Baby Brother Tommy doll set-NRFB-1996, very cute!
Ken is such a good big brother to take his baby brother Tommy to the zoo so their mom can get some work done in her office at home. Being an architect isn't easy but when you have a lively 2 year old running around wanting to play in your papers, well that's where Ken comes in to help his mom. Since Ken moved out and is on his own, he regularly makes play dates with his little brother to give his mom a much-needed break. Ken's dad works long hours as a doctor so when Baby Tommy was born, Ken's mom moved her architect's office into their family home. Around that time was Ken's college graduation so he thought it was time he moved out into his own place anyway.
Tommy thinks it's great fun to tag along with his big brother Ken. Today they're going to the zoo. Ken will place Tommy into his back carrier and off they'll go. They're dressed for summer weather and Tommy even has all his little boy things along, his favorite bottle, a pacifier in case he gets fussy, a rattle, some baby lotion and of course a spare diaper. The zoo trip may last all day so Ken may have to stop at a store and pick up some more diapers. But he doesn't mind. Tommy is his whole world, well aside from his life long love, Barbie. Together they take Tommy different places on the weekend so Ken's mom can catch up with work around the house. Barbie's little sister Kelly loves to tag along so she and Tommy can play. In fact they've become quite good friends. Is there another Ken and Barbie in the making?
This adorable set of dolls has never been removed from the box and would make a wonderful gift for any child, particularly one who has just gotten a baby brother in his or her life. Yes, even little boys might enjoy a Ken doll while their sisters play Barbies. Good parenting skills can always be learned while playing with dolls. This set is no longer available in stores and I have only the one you see here since it's from my personal collection of dolls that I'm weeding down. You better snatch it up because next time you look, Ken and his brother Tommy may have a new home!
I don't have any clothes for Tommy (yet) but I used to make a really cute sleeper for him when I did crafts shows. Hopefully I may get time again to sew for him. I do, however, have Ken doll clothes
