Barbie's mini dress is a cool retro look from the sixties.
This Barbie mini dress is sporting that cool sixties retro look. It's made from a cotton calico print, red with tiny white dots, and closes in back with hook and loop. The bow on the front is tied carefully and is actually sewn down to the bodice before I sew this Barbie mini dress together. As a fun contrast and to make the white mini dots stand out more, I now sew a serged white edge around the armholes and neck. It's a little hard to see but this pictured dress is serged in red. If you're a child of the 60s or even a parent of the 60s, this Barbie doll mini dress would be a fun way of remembering that favorite dress or blouse you may have worn at that time. I can even use fabric from one of your favorite dresses or cute little hippie shirts if you think the print scale would look right on a Barbie doll.
